The Bowers Museum is a premier art and culture museum that opened its doors in 1936. It was a city-run museum upon first opening that dedicated to showcasing the history of Orange County. Located in the arts and culture district of Santa Ana in beautiful Orange County, the Bowers Museum has presented well over 150 special exhibitions from across the world. The Bowers Museum is home to 100,000 objects and houses special exhibits from institutions worldwide and travel exhibitions nationally and internationally. With a growing membership of over 10,000 members, the Bowers Museum is living its mission of enriching lives through the world’s finest arts and cultures. When the COVID-19 spread worldwide, the Bowers Museum had to close its doors, leaving its permanent and traveling exhibits in limbo. However, 2021 has brought positive change. Meaning the Bowers Museum has reopened and welcomes the community to experience the finest arts and cultures.
Best of all, the museum has extended its popular exhibit, “Inside the Walt Disney Archives: 50 years of Preserving the Magic,” until mid-June. The exhibition is home to 465 exclusive relics from the company’s archives, film costumes, concept art, and more on display.
