In California, grants for Orange County restaurants will be rewarded to restaurants complying with COVID-19 guidelines. As part of the SafeDineOC Restaurant Program, the Orange County Board of Supervisors has allocated $10 million in Federal CARES Act funding to support local restaurants. Therefore, restaurants are eligible for up to $1,000 in reimbursements for CARES Act-qualified purchases. This includes face masks, floor decals, signage, barriers, and more. As a result, applying for SafeDineOC grants for Orange County Restaurants only takes three steps and can be done by clicking HERE.
The application period for the grants began on August 6, 2020, and ends in 60 days, or whenever funding is fully allocated, whichever occurs first. If there are multiple or separate restaurants under one owner, each restaurant location is entitled to a $1,000 grant. Therefore, restaurants must submit a separate application for each location. Receipts for CARES Act-qualified purchases are required for grant payment reimbursement. Receipts for purchases made March 1, 2020, to September 30, 2020, are acceptable. Restaurants participating in the SafeDineOC program must post their attestation in plain sight for their customers and will also have their names featured on this website.
