We explore our collaboration with Echo Park, a rapidly expanding division of Sonic Automotive, focusing on delivering the experience of a new car without the new car price. At Super Color Digital, we’ve provided a wide range of visual solutions for several Echo Park locations, tailoring each design to the unique communities they serve. This case centers around Echo Park Raleigh, North Carolina, where we were asked to create a unique and stunning element for their new location.
The Challenge:
The team at Sonic Automotive approached us with a specific request to bring a unique and exciting element to the location. They were searching for an innovative idea that had yet to be implemented in their other sites, which would truly intrigue their customers. Alongside this unique feature, they also required standard visual solutions, such as SEG frames, wall decals, privacy glass decals, and dimensional signage.
The Solution:
Our team presented a creative idea inspired by a similar display of cascading gems and beads seen in a retail department store. This concept had the “Wow” factor the Sonic Automotive team sought. The team adjusted the concept with free-flowing leaves, sketched a design to fit the dimensions of the space, and presented it to the Sonic Automotive team.
The Results:
The cascading leaves feature was set with the stamp of approval from the Sonic Automotive team. To bring this vision to life, our team began fabricating hundreds of translucent leaves and small circle mirrors, attaching them to wires to create a dynamic and organic effect. The installation process was challenged, requiring precise placement of leaves and mirrors to ensure an aesthetically pleasing and free-flowing. The install team continuously adjusted the heights and positioning of the strings, strategically alternating them to reach the illusion of cascading leaves. The final result was a fascinating experiential feature that met the creative and unique element.
In addition to creating remarkable visual experiences, the Super Color Digital team is key in providing SEG frames, wall decals, privacy glass decals, and dimensional signage for various Echo Park locations.
